VILLAS COSTA BLANCA

This
town proudly offers visitors the elegant neo-gothic temple of
the Purisima Xiqueta (Our Holy Maiden), which is part of the Marian
tradition of the La Marina district.
Right
next to it lies the town centre, with a medieval quarter still
very preserved. This is an ideal place to do some shopping in the many
establishments which offer traditional products.
The road to the coast is flanked by a beautifull landscape of
small hills, fertile citrus-orchards changing to olive, almonds and
vine yards. Their cultivation is still one of the main activities of
the people from Benissa. |
|
|
Followinng the road along the coast to the fishing port of Moraira,
there are innumerable coves with narrow rocky shorelines and sometimes
a small, sandy beach.
Those charming little coves with their special wild beauty and cristal-clear
water are a real paradise for scuba-divers. |
|
|
| The
residential areas of the district of Benissa are mainly not more than
3 kilometers from the sea. The minimal size is 800 m2 for a plot , established
by law for the entire area between Calpe and Moraira. This area provides
its own 9 hole golf course.
