A visit to Altea starts at the highest part of the town. From the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, boasting a church topped by unique blue and white tiled cupolas, a magnificent view over the district can be observed. Cobblestoned streets and steps descend the hill to the center of the town with its many good restaurants and art-shops.

The narrow street are flanked by the typical whitewashed houses, which were once protected by town walls. At the foot of the hill is the fishermen's quarter, now enlivened by a seafront promenade and a port.

  

Along streets and around squares, craftsmen and artists mingle with holidaymakers and neighbours to form a captivating crowd.

Between Altea and the neighbour city Calpe, above the nautic club Campomanes, lies Altea Hills one of the most exclusive urbanisation of the coast. The fantastic panoramic views and beautiful villas underline their status.

Next to this residentail area, there is a nice golf course. Apartments, Bungalows and Houses available, for those who prefer a smaller investment without losing the exclusive part of this area.
